Anne Boleyn was born the middle child to a privileged, power-seeking, English family during the reign of Henry VIII. As a young lady, Anne dreamed that one day the King of England would notice her like he did her beautiful, older sister Mary. As Anne aged, she grew strong and willful. She learned to use her pretty face and womanly wiles to scheme and flirt until she was offered a place in Queen Catherine’s court where she eventually caught the King’s eye. Once she had Henry’s devoted attention, nothing would stop her from reaching her ultimate goal of becoming his queen even though many of the King’s subjects and religious advisors did not support her. This royal union would bring wars, and religious unrest. Ultimately Anne and her family would prosperity and gain more power in the realm, leading to an ending her younger self was too arrogant to consider.
